Let Us Guide You

When you book a tour with Deila och Dåtiden, you’ll be guided by one of us, depending a little on which tour you choose. Most often it’s Nina (especially during daytime), but all of us are happy to take care of you and your group. We’re a fun team of guides who regularly meet to reflect, plan, and continue developing our skills together.

Leon is an old soul studying history in Uppsala. He leads tours at the Skultuna Brassworks, the Eastern Cemetery (Buried Burghers), and in the Kyrkbacken district. Leon is actually related to one of the very first workers at the Skultuna Brassworks in the 1600s — Ludwig Keijser — as well as to Karl Keijser, who ran a metal workshop in Kyrkbacken around the turn of 20th century. The same Karl is buried at the Eastern Cemetery. A coincidence that Leon does these three tours? You decide.

My name is Nina, and I’m the founder and owner of this company. I have  been guiding in Västerås since 2004, back then as an employee at the local tourist office.

In 2017, I founded Deila & Dåtiden. I personally lead all of my tours. A common question I get is: “Which tour is your favourite?” My answer is always: “The one I just finished!”

Liv-Marie works as a teacher during the day and plans to guide even more once she retires. She leads tours at the Skultuna Brassworks and in Kyrkbacken. She has taught history, among other subjects, and also knows her chemistry — which means she feels especially at home when questions arise about the historical manufacturing processes at the Brassworks.

Jeanette has been helping me with guiding for the longest time. Kyrkbacken is her favourite area, but she also leads the Asea tour, the Kopparlunden tour, Mylingar, Murder and Misery, as well as the Advent tour in Kyrkbacken — all with skill and a smile on her face.
